Gulf Breeze Zoo hosts Easter at the Zoo

Families from across the Gulf Coast are invited to celebrate Easter in a wildly fun way at the Gulf Breeze Zoo on Sunday, April 20, with the return of the zoo’s beloved Easter at the Zoo celebration. This festive day promises a vibrant mix of springtime fun, animal encounters, and unforgettable memories for guests of all ages.

The highlight of the event will be the Easter Egg Hunts, designed to ensure that every child has the perfect opportunity to fill their basket with colorful treasures. Divided into age-specific time slots, the egg hunts will begin at 11:30 a.m. for children ages 0-2, continue at 12:00 p.m. for ages 3-6, and conclude at 12:30 p.m. for children ages 7-12. Parents are reminded to bring Easter baskets for their little ones to collect eggs.

Beyond the hunt, the zoo will transform into a lively springtime playground with face painting, bounce houses, and plenty of engaging activities for the whole family. Visitors can capture the moment with festive photo opportunities, including a special appearance by none other than the Easter Bunny, who will be available for meet-and-greets and photos from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Boma area. Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras to snap the perfect picture.

"Easter at the Zoo is one of our most joyful annual events,” said a representative from Gulf Breeze Zoo. “It’s a chance for families to not only celebrate the holiday together but also enjoy the beauty of the zoo in springtime—complete with exciting activities, animals, and, of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny.”

With the zoo’s 50-acre park filled with hundreds of animals, interactive exhibits, and hands-on experiences, the Easter festivities add a playful seasonal twist to an already engaging day. Children and adults alike can enjoy wandering through the exhibits, spotting giraffes, hippos, gorillas, and more, all while taking part in special Easter-themed events.

Admission for members is just $10, making this one of the area’s most affordable and entertaining ways to celebrate the holiday. Regular zoo admission rates apply for non-members, and the Easter activities are included with admission.

Whether it’s watching the kids race for eggs, snapping photos with the Easter Bunny, or enjoying a spring stroll through the animal exhibits, Easter at the Zoo offers a perfect blend of adventure and tradition.
